steakhouses.nyc is a personal site published by Kevin McCurdy. Using it means accepting what follows, which is short.

The reviews are opinion

Every score here is one person's judgement, formed on one visit, ordering the same five things everywhere. A kitchen has good nights and bad ones; a score records the night that was had, not a claim about every night. Nothing here is a statement of fact about a restaurant's quality, and it should not be read as one.

Prices, addresses and opening details were right when they were written and go out of date. Check with the restaurant before relying on any of it.

No relationship with the restaurants

Meals are paid for in full. Nothing is comped, no restaurant is told a review is coming, and there are no sponsorships, affiliate links or paid placements anywhere on the site. No restaurant can buy a score, remove one, or change where it sits on the list.

Corrections

If something here is factually wrong — a closed restaurant, a wrong address, a misremembered price — say so and it gets fixed. Corrections to facts are always welcome. Disagreements about a score are welcome too, but the score stays.

What is whose

The writing, the photographs and the illustrations on this site belong to Kevin McCurdy. Quote a line with a link back, by all means. Republishing whole reviews, or using the photographs elsewhere, needs asking first.

Restaurant names and marks belong to the restaurants. They appear here to identify the places being written about, which is all.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. It might be wrong, it might be down, and no promise is made that it will be neither. Decisions about where to have dinner are yours.

Changes
